visitor medical insurance for interview ?

my father has interview on wednesday, and I totally spaced out on giving him any information on visitor medical insurance. my bad
Does he need that before the interview?
Do they even ask about it during the interview? if yes, can he say that he will buy it online as soon as he gets the visa or something like that.
