  • advice needed for visitor visa

My cousin is single, and he has recently graduated from medical school in India. I am trying to have him come visit the US. He has never visited before, and trying to figure out the best way to increase his chances of getting a visa. There is possibility that he will pursue further studies here sometime in the future. His family is well established, and all live in India and he is the eldest son. Is there any hope? What can we do?
    thanks for your help!

He needs to overcome 214(b) on his own. There is little you can do.

He must apply on his own and show strong ties to his home country. A job, property, family, etc.

      Thanks for your prompt reply.
I looked at the section re: 214(b).
My question is this - my family visits India often - at least every other year - we have a lot of family there incl. grandparents, is that a positive for my cousin getting his visitor visa? Or will they look upon that as a reason for him not to visit the US b/c what family he has in this country visits him often enough in India?
      thank you!

        Few things you can do.

        1. Send him sponsorship documents and he can also show good bank balance and ties in India.
        2. He can apply visa of his own and need to convince visa officer. There is nothing to afraid. Tell him to be confident and give honest answers.
        3. Be well prepared for interview will increase chances.
