  • Help requested: Parents Visa got rejected

    Hi All,
My parent visa has been rejected due to 214(b). I would like to know
    1. Since my parents visa has got rejected when should I request them to appear for next interview ?
    2. When I took the appointment this time the only documents I had asked them to submit before visa (at VFS counter in Pune) was DS-156 and 157, somebody told me that they should have submitted other docs like I-134 (Sponsor Doc), Property Affidavits, Visa Request Letter, etc. Could you please help me clarify which documents are exactly needed to be submitted before visa interview ?
    3. What are the chances of getting visa once it gets rejected ?
    4. Is it true that if I go through some agent who may take some money, it will be lot easier to get visa done ? If yes, should it be OK to contact an agent after 1st rejection ?

Your help is highly appreciated in this regard.

    Thanks,
    Suyog

Suyog pls give us more details..

    1) what kind of visa did ur parents apply for ?

    2) Are you in US ?

    3) If yes then why no sponsor letter was send for them..

Give us more details to help you out. A rejection doesn't mean that your parents will not get a visa...

      Hi,

      Thanks for a quick help.
      Please find the answers below:
      1. my parents had applied for a Tourist Visa
      2. i am in US since last 1 year
      3. I had sent the sponsor letter to them but as mentioned in original post .... it was not submitted with DS-156 & 157 earlier to visa. The consuler did not even asked for those docs.

      please help,
      suyog

        Question 4

An agent has no influence with the consulate. People have reported dishonest agents falsifying documents and creating larger problems for their clients than the clients would have otherwise. If you wish professional assistance get an attorney with practices in the US and their home community for a consultation. You consult with the US people and see if it is worthwhile for them to work with the associate at their home location.

Read through the forum for ideas on how their parents can better present their request for a visa. There are many discussions so you should be able to find situations similar to theirs.
