DS-157 Problem with dates and fields

I try to fill the DS-157 form in the .pdf file and I can not fill the dates correctly. The input fields are too small and the acceptable date format is [mm-dd-yyyy]. Only one date fits in each filed.

Fill the dates part with a pen. You can fill this form with a pen. Only DS156 should be electronically filled as that contains a scannable barcode.
