Question on sponsoring mother for B2

Hello,

I have a question regarding sponsoring my mother for visitors visa.

Is it okay to say in the visa interview that 'my son is sponsoring me, in addition to that I also have some money saved that I will be using for my trip', when asked who is paying for your trip?

This is the truth..but I didn't see any other scenario in this forum which had a similar situation..that is the reason for my skepticism.
