Surrender Green Card

My wife and I are thinking about moving to Thailand. She is Thai and has her green card. I understand that she will loose her green card after staying 6 months out of the country.

Can someone tell me her options as far as visas go? It would be ideal if she could get some type of visa that lets her visit the US for a couple of weeks. Is there anything out there that exists that would let her visit for a couple of weeks multiple times, multiple years? Or would we have to apply for a new tourist visa every time she wanted to visit the US?

surrender GC and appply for a B2 visa, they are usually valid for 10 years and allow visits for up to 6 months.

Could you tell me how to go about surrendering her GC and applying for a B2 visa? Are those things that we would do in the US or after we arrived in Thailand?
