Bank verification letter for my -in laws

1) I contacted bank of america for verification letter they are sending bank verification letter by fax, bank of america is not sending original copy, is that document fine.
2) Also they are providing the verification letter for 3 months. Is that fine ?but in the docs i saw people are saying to provide 6 months verification original letter.

I am getting faxed letter with 3 months verification letter. Will there be any problem

Faxed letter is acceptable. They do it by mail too, but it takes around 10 days. Did you tell them that you need it sooner?
