  • No Availablility Birth Certificate

    Hi,

I found following "No Availablility Birth Certificate" sample in this site

    -----------------------------
    Government of Maharashtra
    Department of B.D.O Office, Mumbai

Non-availability Certificate: Issued under The Registration of Births & Deaths Act 1969

This is to certify that a search has been made on the request of <your name>, son of <father’s name> in the Municipal registration record for the year(s) 1965-1975 relating for Mumbai, Maharashtra and found that the birth record of <your name>, son of <father’s name> is not registered/available.

    Signature of Issuing Authority

    Seal:
    Date: <today’s date>
    -----------------------------

Kindly let me know from where can I get this certificate?
And on which paper I should get this? should it be in municipal office letterhead? or shud it be in some stamp paper?

    Thanks.

    From your municipal office ...

... in the region or locality where you live in Bombay.

They will issue this letter on their letter head.

    Good luck.

      Thanks for the response.

Should it be taken from the region or locality where I live or where I born?

My birth place is not Mumbai and it is some village. I am not sure whether they have specific letter head in village office. Is it OK if I take 'No availibilty Certificate' in stamp paper and get it signed by governement authority (like SDM) in my birthplace?

From your place of birth ...

... where you live currently (in India or abroad) does not have any bearing on the birth certificate.

        Good luck.

neither brith cerificate nor 'No availibilty Certificate' ??

my case is similar to this:

i dont have my brith cerificate nor the 'No availibilty Certificate'. i dont think i could be able to get either of them by Aug 23rd.my husband is sponsoring for my parents visa and the interview date is Aug 25th.

will it be ok for them to appear for the interview with the notarized 10th class certificate of mine?

          Thank you..

None of the cases that had success among my family or friends' close to me had ever been asked for a birth certificate during the visitor visa appointment.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
