Passport Tracker on Visa website

How often does passport tracker on https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ update?

What does it say when your visa is approved? What does it say when your visa is not approved? Can someone whose visa was not approved check their status and post back?

Just tracking my parents visitor visa application, and I want to know as soon as possible, before they even come out of embassy

Its not possible to know the result before your parents come out of the consulate. Passport tracker in the vfs site gives the information if the passport is been handed over to the vfs to courier or if passport is delivered to the applicant. Please note consulate will retain the passport only if they are approving the visa.

So what does passport tracker says, if visa is not granted? It continues to say you have interview scheduled on this date....???

If the visa is not granted why would you check the passport tracker. As I mentioned earlier if the visa is not granted passport will be returned to the applicant immidiately after the interview.

True, you wouldn't need to check the status if Visa is not granted. I was just asking out of curiousity, what does it say if visa was denied. Does old message stays on forever, or what?

As of now, it shows interview date and time when I try to track it before interview time.
