about visa appointment booking

We are sponsoring my parents visit visa.My brother in India has filled the forms and DS 156 and DS 157 and waiting for the dates.

my questions are:
can we book the slot if we got to see the dates first and ask my brother to take print out of the same(DS 156/157 n interview appointment letter)?

can the forms and the interview appointment letter be saved after taking the appointment but not printing them?

if YES, to above question, for how long can we save it? will it be saved in the VFS site or should we save to our local disk?

Yes, the forms are saved on the website. You can email the link as well from VFS site or save the forms to your hard disk.
