7th year H1-b extension, visitor visa

My H1-B visa is expiring on September 30th 2008. I had applied for my Labor certification on September 18th ,2007. Labor certification is not yet approved.

I can't apply for my 7 th year H1-B extension before september 18th 2008, since i have to wait for 365 days after applying Labor certification incase of non-approval.

Now, I want to invite my parents to USA on visitor visa.

1. Would it be problem, if they appear for interview on September month (before sep 30th 2008) without my H1-renewal receipt number?

2. If they appear for interview on October 2008 (after my visa expiration) without my H1-renewal receipt number, what documents should be shown regarding my visa status?

Please advise.

Thanks a lot txh1b. To clarify, when you said "h1b filing proof" , you meant 7th year H1-b extension filing proof right? If so, i should request the H1b extension filing documents copy from my employer?

Yes. You can file for an extension 6 months before your current I-94 expires.
