how long are DS156 and DS 157 forms valid?

I have made an appointment for my parents visitor visa for 26 august. Can I mail the DS156 and DS 157 forms to them right now and would the bar code on them be valid till the interiew date or will I have to fill another set of forms after 7 days??

You can mail them now. There is no 7 days rule.
