Visa for Old persons above 60 !!!

I have been hearing that Visa officers at Embassy do not ask much to the Old people over 60 years, is it correct ?

Are the chances of getting a visitor visa better for being over 60 ?

Stop listening to hearsay and rumors... everybody will go through the process and have to prove ties... what do you plan to do? disguise yourself and try to pass as someone over 60?

nothing like that !!!

i just want my old mother to visit me for 6 month or so, but i afraid mentioning 6 months in DS form may have negative impact.

please advise !!!

Age is supposed to have no effect as it it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of age. Realistically, an older person - like a very young person - has fewer ties to home country (job, elderly relatives to care for, more likely to be dependent on children in US) than someone of middle age.

A 67 yo family member of mine was recently denied a 2 month visit visa to visit LPR child who is in the citizenship processing backlog. So, a person over 60 being guaranteed a visa is incorrect.
