  • Birth certificate for sisters visa

Me and my husband are inviting my sister, and her visa is in a weeks time.My husband is sponsoring her visa.Do i need to send my birth certificate to prove that me and my sister aresiblings?because if thats the case I have lost my birth certificate and hence hoping that this information can however be verified by looking at my passport and my sisters passport wherein our parents names would be the same. Please let me know if my birth certificate is a must as i understand in most cases they dont see the birth certificates. Also please let me know if i had to send my husband's birth certificate (sponsorer) for my sisters visa, as i read that if sponosring in-laws or spouse's relativesm then spouse's birth certificate is required.

Phone the passport authority. They were helpful when I called.

I think that Birth Certificate is not required, as you mentioned if they want they can check it through passport. I would recommend try to get some other supporting document also which can prove that she is your sister however do not worry if you dont find anything.........good luck !!!
