  • Invitation letter

I have sent invitation letter exactly as per immihelp format wherein we have mentioned that we are inviting her for 2 months, whereas i have also sent another letter wherein i have not mentioned that we are inviting her for 2 months(duration), my sister's visa is tomorrow, i am confused as to which one of those letters to show to the VO when asked. Can someone please tell me which one would be better(the one which mentions the duration of her stay or the one without it), also though my husband is sponsoring her visa we both have signed in the invitation letter, hope its okay

Duration of stay is a question in the application forms. The more truthful you will be, the more helpful it'll be for the candidate, the more you try to hide things, the more troublesome it'll get.

Always post with all background information, dont assume ppl here know about what you are trying to do. No one else other than you remembers your earlier posts.

      Property affidavit and invitation letter

I plan to get my sister for only 2 months for visit purpose. My husband ( who holds GC) is sponsoring my sister's visa, i am on H1.My question is would it be more effective to state the duration for which we are inviting the applicant in the formal invitation letter although i understand that this question is however answered in DS156?

      Also i have another question

My sister is travelling alone, her son and husband would stay back at home. They own agricultural land which my brother-in-law needs to take care of. My sister's family gets monthly 20kRs from house rent and the shop that they own. Along with this they make money from the crops they grow which may not be montly income but as when they yield and sell the crops when they make some 50kRs or in lakhs depending on what they grow. So in property affidavit under the column ( Net income from business per month) we have only mentioned 20kRs ( referring to their house and shop rent) but my sisters family make more than that from the land/agriculture that they own which is not stated in propert affidavit under net business income as its not monthly money that they get. My question is will 20kRs be considered too less for monthly income as we missed to mentiion also the money from agriculture in net income, if asked by VO what must my sister tell, please advice

Overall my sister has around 36 lakhs worth of property that includes house, conevenient store, land that they own.But most of this property is not under my sister or her husband's name as its family property that was owned by her father-in-law and which has not been divided yet to the children and my sister has property documents like family hierarchical property.

If she can convince the consular officer of enough family ties (husband and kids staying back) that would be positive for the application, otherwise if you are depending on property etc. then all needs to be on her name. If its smone else's (whoever it may be) then why would one return for that.
