Advice required: applying for Tourist Visa, uncle green-card holder

Hi,
If I happen to mention my uncle as someone who will put me up and support me when I get there, will he be contacted or investigated (basically hassled) if I happen to overstay after Visa expiry?

No, but I plan to live with friends after I stay with him for a week or so. Is even a few weeks overstay not allowed?

What is the need for a preplanned overstay? You need to stop risking the lives of your uncle and your friends as a responsible adult.

Of course I understand that. What I want is to stay as long as possible with my friends without causing any problems for anyone. It seems though that it might be too much of a hassle for just a few weeks more. Anyway thanks.

Ask this question to your uncle and see if he is still ready to sponsor or support your visit

It is a really bad idea to overstay. Your visa will be cancelled and future visas will be much harder to obtain.
