Mom Visa(B2) Got Rejected

Hi All,

My Mom visitor visa request was rejected at Delhi Consulate yesterday.
I want to know if she reapplies for the Visa, Do we have to preapre all the documents(Visitor,Sponsor) from scratch.

Do I also have to prepare and send the Sponsor Documents(Bank Verification,Employment verification etc) again from US.


Any suggestion would help...

You have not mentioned the reason for rejection. Also applying again immediately is not a good idea.

We dont know the reason as my Mom gave al the answeres that lady asked.

Following Questions were asked

1. How Many Kids do you have?
2. Where is your son staying in US
3. Are you traveling alone?
4. Why are you going to US?
5. IS your Daughter in law pregnant?(The same question they asked in different way)
6. Do you have any grandsons in US?
7. Why your husband is not coming with you?

They then asked for the invitation letters.

All the answers were given accordingly , We suspect for question 7, she told that "he is a Govt officer and cant get enough leaves to travel", they then asked for the proof , which she didn't have.

I see this could be the only reason for rejection, also the letter which they gave there is no Reason number on it (221(g) or 214(b)), but with description I assume its 214(b).


Just wanted to know if I need to apply for her again (after a month or so), DO I have to send the SPONSOR Documents again(I-134,Bank Verification, Pay Stubs, Employment VErification)
