Hi,
I read your webpage. First I would like to tell you on behalf of all south asians that your website is very helpful in understanding the immigration process. My reason for writing to you is that I wasn't able to find the answer to my question, therefore I am writing to you, hoping you may be able to help.
I feel that our case is unique and I wanted to ask your outlook on this. I am a U.S. Citizen, my life parnter is an Indian citizen. We recently both got permanent visas to move to Canada. My partner has been refused U.S. visa twice in 2006, first time for visitor's visa, and second time for student visa. Our Canadian permanent visa expire in March of 2009. We would like to apply for her visitor visa for U.S., we were first going to apply for transit visa, but she does not qualify. We are applying for visitor visa so that she can come to U.S. and help me pack my life here in U.S., and so we can drive to Canada before our Canadian Visa expires. The basis for U.S. visitor visa is to show that you intend to return to your home country, but in our case we are moving to Canada. Will our case be considered by the officer under visitor's visa basis? Your response is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
