I have a friend in Hanoi that applied for tourist visa last Oct. 2007. I had sent a letter of invitation plus docs showing my work info and that I would responsible for friend for his short 10 day stay. I even sent info to prove that I have known the family for a couple of years. I had met them when I was in Hanoi studying Viet language. They interviewed my friend longer than any one else and it appeared that he would get tourist visa. At the end, he was denied visa. He is thinking about applying now since it has been a year.
I am thinking of sending notarized invitation letter, pay stub and pictures showing my self with family and friend. The friend in Hanoi is a chief accountant with college degree. Please advise what you think if it will be equally difficult 2nd time around. I know they want more proof that immigrant will return to home country 2nd time around.
Thanks.
