Hi. My boyfriend, who is from India wants to visit me in the United States (I am a citizen here).
First we were told to see a chartered accountant and then told first to see a travel agent to know what he needs for his visa.
I know about the paperwork that needs to be filed, but unsure how much money he has to show in his/parents account to visit.
He is not going to stay here as he has one semester left for graduating with his bachelors in India.
His parents are going to sponsor his trip. My question is, does the money he needs to show have to all be in cash/cds? His family has a lot of property but I am not sure how much cash they have available.
He has the money for the plane ticket and he will be staying with my family here, so he doesn't need a lot of money on him.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
