I-94 Date Correction

My In-laws came from India yesterday. Upon Arrival Immigration officer informed them he is issuing I-94 for 6 months BUT the actual date stamped on the I-94 is not correct. It was too late to go back to FIX this, since they were already outside the security area. The Actual stamp says APR 3X 2009 instead of APR 30 2009. Does any one know how to fix this problem. Any feedback is appreciated.

You don't need to be inside the secure area to get the i-94 corrected. CBP has deferred inspection office near international terminals where they can correct any errors.

You can try going back to the airport with them tough they could refuse to change it now as 6 months is not a given right.
