Hi moderator,
i got married to an american citizen though i have not and am not ready to file for an immigrant petition, and we live in a caribbean country. I intend to apply for a visitor's visa, does that affect my chances of getting one and is it advisable to go back to my home country to apply for the visa as i hear that is a consideration these days..........

It is nearly impossible. Because you'd have to prove non immigrant intent and being married to an USC makes that very hard to do.
