Visitor Visa Query

Hi

I'm planning to apply visitor visa for my In Laws. My wife's name is
vidya kalaivannan. Kalaivannan is her father's name.

When my inlaws applied for passport they got it with the name
Kazhaivannan as this is how it appeared in their school records.

My Wife's passport has Kalaivannan as her surname and Kalaivannan as her
father's name.

Now we are stuck with this spelling confusion. 'L' spelled as 'ZHA' in my
in laws passport. I'm not sure if they can change it to Kalaivannan
as their school records have 'ZHA'.

Can you let us know if this wil be a problem when we apply for Visitor visa.
If yes, is there a way we can get this corrected/clarified.
