  • Secondary Questioning.

My mother has 10 years multiple entry from 2006 she has been visiting the US frequently with 3 month gaps. She has returned this time in august and when she arrived here she was sent to secondary screening, where the official said she should not travel so frequently but then gave her 6months. With this being the case would it be advisable to apply for extension and if we didn't apply for extension how long should she stay in India before she comes back if she is going back in february.

Are you serious? the POE officers send your mom to secondary inspection, they probably flagged her as a potential immigrant and you have to courage to ask if you should file an extension?!

NO, your mom should NOT file an extension, unless she wants to have her visa cancelled and be sent to secondary inspection EACH and EVERY time she comes back.

She must not spend more than 6 out of 12 months in the USA... Her time in India (gaps between US visits) should be longer than the previous visit time in the USA.

A hope that will hurt no one but you and your mom's current visa
