I would like to apply for B2 visa For travelling to US for 2 -3 months..I am a housewife and my husband is an employee and working as Engineer in a reputed firm in India. My daughter is 12 years old & studying. My Sister is working in USA and sponsoring Visa to ME.I would like to travel in the month of JAN-09 itself, since my sister wants me there in JAN itself. My Brother in law & sister are green card holders and US citizens.
What is the probability of me getting visa with this background ?

Slim. But you can try since you have your family back in india, I am assuming only you will be traveling.

I will be going alone. What is to be done to improve the chances of getting VISA ? Some consultant told me that I will not get VISA since I am planning in JANUARY -09.He also told me that I have to RESCHEDULE my trip to school vaccation period , with my family members . Then only there is fair chance of getting VISA.But my daughter does not have passport & husband is not much intrested in visiting USA .My sister wants me there in January only.IS THEIR ANYWAY TO IMPROVE CHANCES OF GETTING visa FOR jan ONLY ?

            Hi Jayashri

I live in the US with my family. I work here and I am a citizen. I am currently preparing documents to send to my sister and family in India to travel to the US for a visit. They would like to visit for 2 months April-May during my nephew's summer break. Since you received visa recently, can you please give me the list of documents your sister provided you ? It will be very very helpful for me. Did you request the 10 yr multiple entry visa during application or interview or did they just give it to you ? Any interview tips for my sister and family ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

            thanks very much
