Return Ticket/Visitor's Visa

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a US citizen and my mom will be visiting US bcoz i need her help with my first pregnancy.I needed to ask you if I am supposed to buy a return ticket?I dont know how long i may need her help.There are penalties if you change the date on the return tickets.Since I am not sure how long she will stay i was just thinking of buying a single ticket for now but will it be against the visa rules?Will my mom have problems at the port of entry.My mom doesnt speak english and this is her first time visiting US and i dont want her to be in any problem.So plz let me know if I am supposed to buy return ticket or single will do and i will buy her ticket to go back home after she comes here.

She needs to buy round trip ticket. If she does not know the exact dates, and if the airline charges money to change the dates, you will have to just pay that price.

I am planning for my mother's visa. I palnning to buy her tickets after she gets her visa. She can tell her tantative dates for stay and journey in USA in her visa interview. Is it a good idea or I have to buy her round trip tickets before her visa appointment?

She is coming here to visit us and for touring.

Can I buy her tickets after she gets visa or I have to buy her roundtrip tickets before her visa appointment?

Who buys tickets before getting a visa approved? I have not heard of any.
