sponsor yourself using your self owned company?

By this post I would like to invite you to reply, if you have any prepositional for the question I have to ask this forum.

If someone own their own company in US, but is not a citizen of its country, would they be able to sponsor themselves from using the company? This person would be the sole owner of the company. Is there a limit for the income he should be making through the company to be able to perform this if it is viable?

Please if you have any input, would be greatly appreciated.

When you say sponsor, sponsor for what? For visitors visa? For greencard?
