Parents got Visa today at Mumbai cons..

My parents got visa at Mumbai consulate today (sep 20). They used Hindi interpretor and were asked basic questions.

They had gotten 6 months visa in 2002 and they stayed 4 months and went back.

In June 2004 they reapplied and were rejected for no apparant reason after a 1 min interview. They didnt use Hindi int at that time. This time they used and also I had written to 2 CA senators and my local LA congressman. All of them had enquired with Mumbai Consulate and I have acknowledgement from them...Dont know if the senator/congressman intervention helped..They should get passport tomorrow so i would know whether they got for 10 yrs or not.

When to request for a translator?

Hello!

Can you please tell me at what stage do we need to request for a translator? Do we need to ask for one when we take an appointment for the interview or do we need to ask for one at the consulate(right before the interview)?

whats your sons status? whats he doing there? why was it rejected last time inspite of getting visa 2 yrs back? how long did you stay in US 2 yrs back?
