  • I-34 Affidavit Question

    Hello Everyone,

I have a question about the I-34,Affidavit support form.I have obtained an Employment letter from my employer and it says I earn XK $ per year.
The salary in my W2-Form is different than the salary mentioned in the Employment Letter.

So what salary no should I write in the I-34 form?I think it should be same as the salary in Employment Letter but then my W2's show a different no.

    Thanks,
    Rohit

    you mean I-134?

I think you are referring to I-134 affidavit of support.

In my opinion, you should use the salary mentioned in the employment letter as it reflects your current earnings. If they raise any concerns, you can always tell them that you switched roles and so salary is different from last year.

Thanks for your reply.Yes,I meant I-134,sorry about the typo.

I also think I should write the same salary amount in I-134 as mentioned in the Employment Letter. But my W2 shows a different no.

would they ask why the employment letter and the W2 form has different salary amount?

Another Question - My parents will be going together for the Visa Interview.
Except for the I-134 form,Do I need to send two copies of every document like - Employment Letter,Pay Stubs,Bank Statements,Invitation Letters etc?

      Thanks!
