Hi ,
I am a project leader working in a company at Mumbai, India. We have completed some software modules for a client in California. Now my company would like to send me to US for 2 weeks to install, implement and train the client.
I had applied for a B1 visa. In the interview the first question asked to me was the purpose of the visit for which i replied the above. To that the consular replied that i have applied for a wrong category of visa. I should have applied for a H1B visa instead.
I informed them that i need to go to US only for 2 weeks and hence have applied for a B1. I am not going there for employment purposes and hence have not apllied for H1.
Do my case really ask for a H1B visa instead of a B1.
Could someone please help me on this issue...
Thanks,
Regards,
Deepak
