Parent FName different in my passport

Hi,

I am applying for B2 VISA for my parents and I m going to sponsor them.
However, their FName are different in my passport.

For eg.
My father's name is spelt as Bipinchandra in his passport whereas I have it just as Bipin. Similarly mother's passport has FName as Mandakini whereas my passport has it just Manda.

1. Please advise if this will be an issue?
2. Should I mention their FNames as they appear in my passport in section 9 (Other First And Middle Names) of form D156.

It would be great if anyone has been in this situation and share their experience.

This is no problem. US consulate in Mumbai is very well aware of these Gujarati customs.

Just write their name as per their name in their passport.
