  • Sponsor letter/ no objection letter. Immediate help pls!

    Hello
My sister lives in the US and has sent invitation letter and all the other documents except the affidavit support form b/c my husband is sponsoring me financially. However he is not coming along to US with me because he doesn't get leave from work. Since he's my financial sponsor I was wondering what kind of sponsor letter should he give? What kind of information should be put in the letter. Should there be any mention about his work? Should he also give a no objection letter? Can both the no objection and financial support info be in the same letter? Could you please help me out with the details of the letter? Also the invitation letter sent to me and the letter to American consulate sent by my sister, can it a scanned copy or should it be original? (All the other documents like my bro in laws employer letter and bank statements are all original) I would be really greatful if anybody could help ASAP.
    Thank you

    If your husband is spending for the trip, you need;

*only an ORIGINAL invitation letter from your sis stating her visa/job status in US and duration of your stay. Do not need both an invite and a letter to consulate. Get only one of the two. Basically both serve the same purpose. Do not have your sis send any letters to the consulate. That will not be considered. No documents required of her husband.

*a copy of her passport showing her visa.

*no letter from your husband required. But you need a document showing his place of work , his salary slip and IT return showing his income.
Make a list of bank deposits and assets have it attested by the CA.
MAKE SURE HIS INCOME IS ENOUGH TO QUALIFY FOR FINANCING.
A FAMILY INCOME OF RS 10 LACS OR MORE PER YEAR SHOULD BE SAFE.

      Thanks for the reply.
My sister is not working there. She is a housewife and she's on L1 visa. I have copy of her passport (every page). The letter should mention that she'll take care of my accomodation while I'm therE?
I want to stay there for a month so if my husband is not travelling along is there any less chance of getting a visa??

She must be on L2 ( spouse of L1) .
Yes, She should mention that your accomodation will be taken care of .
In fact your chances will increase if your husband does not go.

But you must focus on the self financing part. It can get you a denial if your husband's income is not sufficient.

I'm sorry. Your right. She's on L2 visa. In the letter does she have to mention about her husbands work?
My husband should have a bank balance of 10 lakhs?

Yes, she should mention that her husband is on L1 visa and working with____since_________(date).

Bank balance is not important because people borrow money to show inflated balances. Family income is important. and if you can show with documents that the monthly family income is one lac + , it will be ok.

If you donot have such income, you should get an affidavit of support from your bro-in-law.
