  • Visa Issue

My parents are planning to go through the visa process again after being rejected the first time. I really need some help here.

The reason for rejection is that my dad wrote duration of stay as 6 months and had a leave letter for 4 months , which was given as a reason for his refusal , also i had not send the i-134 form as support to him. This time I am planning to send him the i-134 form and a ton of other documents that are mentioned in this site. They simply had sent nothing with the application first time around , other than the ds forms. ALl they had was the university graduate ceremoney letter during the interview apart from other financial doc , but by then i think the desicion was made , also they had no documents about me at all.( i know its dumb but we didnt know of this site before)

My questions is that should my parents now give the duration of stay as 2 months or 30 days ? My dad still has a leave of absence letter of 4 months ?

Whats the right stratergy ? should we not use the leave of abscense letter at all now ?

    Thanks for your help ?

Also do they know any reason for your rejection other than the code and what they have mentioned there?
WOuld they know my dad orignally had a 4 month leave of absence letter ???

I am not sure what all information they keep with them. But I know for sure that they keep your old DS-156 form and when you reapply, they pull that up where they made notes at the time of rejection for the first time.

Just follow https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/visitor and you should be fine.

If he has 4 months leave letter, he can mention he would like to go for 4 months.

      Thanks for your help.

My parents and I have made the desicion to not apply at this point now. Even thought we have a strong case of my graduation and I can also sponsor them at the same time. But we feel the roadblocks are the fact that they have been rejected once , My sponsor letter at this point is not very heavy( my salary is not too high) and we would just like to wait for this mad holiday rush to get over. Its very very dissapointing , but I guess I will graduate(walk) next year and have my parents visit me then , or maybe redo the process in 2 or 3 months.

Question I have is that should I or Can I submit the whole bunch of things along with the application form ?
      Things like :
      Letter of graduation
      invitation from me
      i-134
      pay stubs
      bank statements
      etc
      etc

because this time my parents did not submit anything with the ds-156 nor did they have a sponsor letter from me. They went on the strenght of just the graduation letter at the interview which they hardly looked at and I guess the desicion was made by then. Only if i know of this site earlier ...
