How much cash is enough for self sponsored visa?

How much cash is enough for a retired person to sponsor his own visa?

My father is retired.
he has 2 apartments(asset value for 2 apt 35 lakhs).
he gets pension 7000 pm.
he has Bond of 20 lakhs.
he also has MIS, KVP from where gets money every month.(value 2-3 lakhs)
he has also cash in bank around 2-3 lakhs.

I have one unmarried sister(studying), 1 married sister.

Is it enough for sponsor himself and my mother's visa for USA?

No, it is not enough.
A trip for 2 will cost around 1.5 lacs (tickets + personal expenses)
and for self financing, one must have a proportionately relevant income
(10 lacs per year) .
Showing balances is not enough.

A person making 2-3 lakhs a month from MIS, KVP cannot self sponsor? He might also have rental income, cash balance, retirement income. Seems good to me.

He never said he is making 2-3 lacs from KVP and MIS.
He mentioned the total value of KVP and MIS as 2-3 laca

Yes I want to say that the total value of MIS & KVP is 2-3 lakhs. My father not gets every month 2-3 lakhs from MIS & KVP.

So, now this MIS & KVP and rest is not enough to sponsor visa?
