Parents Visiting Visa

Hi,
My elder brother and I live in US and my younger brother in UK. My elder brother is sponsoring for their visa. My husband is graduating this may and would like to send invitation to my parents. I have 2 questions.
1. Is it harmful to their application if they mention that "I am" living in US?
2. If not, would it help if the invitation letter is also shown to get the visa?
