Dad coming for the 2nd time

Hi,

My dad got a 10-year visa. He plans on visiting again this summer which would be 8 months from the time he last left the US. Would this be a problem?

If he had stayed for more time in his home country than what he did in USA, then, it is ok.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, he left September 13 and will be here at the end of May which will be more than 6 months. One more question - his tix cost $1000 but his travel agent asked him "to keep $1500 available in his budget for airport tax fees, etc." I am confused - what airport tax fees and other fees is one required to pay when they visit from India?
