Address in the passport

I'm back.. yet again!
My husband is applying for a visa but the address in the passport and the address we are residing atm is different. When the sponsor is sending the invitation letter, should it be addressed to the address in the PP or the address he is residing at? Also about Counter Passport Collection, do they give the PP back the same evening the interview was held or the next day evening?

My 2nd q was if we want to collect the PP the same day and opt for Counter PP Collection then would they give it the same day as the interview or is it the next day?
