DS156 edits?

Hi,
By mistake I selected "male" for my mother and submitted DS156 ...so dumb
It is question 13. I got the appointment. I am not able to modify this now. Is it possible to change that in the application form, have it signed and submitted to the officer during interview?

Any solution is highly appreciated.

This mistake can be corrected at the time of interview. Please ask your mother to inform vfs personnel/VO at the time of interview about this and they will correct manually.

I also got a reply from my friend just a while back. Thought this might be useful for others too.

He went to Canada for US Visa interview and there he filled the application in mm/dd/yyyy format where as in Canada the format should be dd/mm/yyyy

He didnt realize the mistake until the officers at the DD collection checked (not the interview officer). So they made him put the date correctly and sign it below. When he went to the interview it was all clean.
