After completing my studies in the US, I had applied for Optional Practical Training and got an EAD card that authorized me to work on the F-1 visa for a year after graduation. Now I am on H1-B visa and hence that EAD card is no longer valid. I wish to sponsor my parents to US this summer.
1.
Are A numbers permanent for a person (like the social security number) ? Can I use the A number on my EAD card when I sponsor my parents to the US, even though that EAD card is no longer valid?
2.
I would like my sister (who is doing her post graduation) to also come. Do you think she should apply together with my parents?
3.
She talked to her school officials and they are ready to give her a letter endorsed by the school which says that she is a student and needs to be back to complete her education. Do you think the letter will help her get a visa?
