  • B2 Visa for younger sister

    Hi

This is my first post to this website. Please guide me.

My younger sister is having her B2 visa interview on 05/05/2009. She will be traveling to USA with my parents who already have their B2 visa stamped.

I want to give her an insight what the visa officer may ask her. So please guide what can be the questions.

She works with a fashion house and currently on a subbectical leave for 2-3 months. She has letters from her employer and me and my wife both have given the following documents:

I-134 (Affidavit of support), Bank Statements, Employment verification letters, my pay stubs to establish our financial position.

She is able to pay for her return air ticket and we have taken the responsibility of her domestic travel within US and boarding, lodging.

Now, the twist: I am waiting for my H1-B extension decision and my I-94 has expired already, but I can live in the country since I have filed for extension.

My wife has a valid H1-B visa.

Should my sister show my I-134 or my wife's????

Please list down the questions they can ask a younger age person like her???

Thanks for reading and appreciate you time to answer my queries.

    Well

No one replied, but it seems god is great and my sister got the visa.

She was asked the following questions:

    Where does your father work?

Are you going to visit your brother?

Do your parents also have visa?

    Thanks

Aman - Congratulations to you and your sister on getting this visa! Its amazing how some approvals are so straight forward despites odds against it (in your case the VO could have caused trouble considering your H1 status and all). Some of the other stories you read on this forum convince you that nothing you say or do will work for you!

I guess at the end of the day it's a lot of luck and a VO in a good mood. No other logic makes sense
