  • B2 Visa Rejected Because of only son in US

    Hi,

I am the only son for my parents. I am a green card holder and my wife is a Citizen. My parents want to just visit US. When they applied they were told that they have strong ties in US. My dad is retired but working now but we dint mention that in our previous application. We just mentioned retired. Te consular officer said u r retired and u have more ties in US than India. So i am not sure u will return. He also apply apply after 15 days . Another officer may be convinced. What do we do now? Should my parents apply separately or should we change the application saying the truth i.e., my dad is employed so that they ll be convinced that he l return...Please advice...and please dont just direct me to rejection and refussal link

Not mentioning the job held after retirement is the first mistake. Now, if you show that, it would seem like you are lying or covering up to get a visa.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
