  • New born child of a Visitor's Visa (B2) holder

    Dear Users,

I sponsored Visitors visa (B2) for my Brother and Sister-in-law, which got approved for 10 years. Now they've a new born child (few days old).

Que1: Do I need to 'again' sponsor visitor visa for my nephew or he can come with a valid passport?

Que2: What is the procedure to bring him to USA on a visitors visa (his parents will also come) for few weeks?

    Please advice.

    Thanks

A newborn baby should not be flying for pronlonged time.

Either way, he needs a visa to enter the USA just like his parents.

I have heard doctors say that a newborn not fly atleast until 6 months as it could cause eardrum damage and sometimes irreparable damage to the growth of the baby.

and the pressure difference during landing/takeoff could rupture the eardrum on infants so young.
