I-94 Correction

My In-laws came to US this Nov 2nd and they were given I-94 for 3 months on "B1" visa, though the US VISA issued at the Chennai consulate clearly tells as B2.

I had both my MIL and FIL apply for I-102, for getting the I-94 current status to be changed from B1 to B2.

BCIS, sent back the I-102 forms, saying that they can't process as they don't have the "A#s".

I don't have A#. Can anyone help/guide in this regard???

B1/B2 are processed together. Thefore, nothing to worry.

Visitors don't have A#. Only greencard holders, and anyone who has applied for EAD have it.
