Parents affidavit

My parents have interview on Sep 1st for visitor visa in chennai. Does the affidavit provided by parents have to be on a stamped paper or a plain ordinary wriiten one is enough? does anyone have any idea about this?

If not a stamp paper can it be notorised by a notary public or a government servant? Please advice.
