today visitor visa rejected in chennai

My in-laws visitor visa got rejected in chennai under
section 214(b). They had brief interview as follows :


Officer just asked two questions :
how many children ?
They replied two daughters.
proof for coming back to india ?
They replied we own business in India , my father-in-law
offered to show affidavit. But officer replied
that won't be necessary and he rejected the visa.
Officer didn't ask any other details.

They carried all the documents listed in this website.
My father-in-law dont own any property in India.
He runs a book shop for more than 30 years. He carried
affidavit for that.
What are the chances when we re-apply again ?
I desperately need them here as my is due in october.
I am not finding any appointment till November now.
I appreciate any suggestions what to do ?

Sorry to hear your MIL visa got rejected.

Try sending every info they are requesting for. also it is just luck and depends on the consular.
Reapply again!
Regarding the appts I tried hard and finally got one in Aug. My mom got 10 yr visa. Thank God! Try around 12 in the night when you see lot of openings. Good luck to you! Don't stress too much! Take care.
