my friend who has a tourist visa was able to secure an SSS number and worked in US for more than 10 years.

He is now 63 yrs old, qualified to receive the pension from SSS. Can he avail of this benefit?

What is an SSS number? Do you mean Social security number?
I don't know much about the law but doesn't this make him an illegal here and get him into trouble with the immigration and SSA authorities??

He might be able to get the same if he had paid taxes durinf his 10 years of work , it is just not 10 years of work but you and your employer need to pay 12%( 6 % by you and 6% by your employer) taxes from each pay check.

Illegal status will be a question if he was paid by cash etc.
