Applying for B2 based on my L1 or H1 ?

Hi,

I am on L1 visa now and planning to apply B2 VISA for parents now and planning to fly in December.

My H1 VISA is already approved and my status will change to H1 from October-1. So can I apply for B2 VISA for parents based on my L1? Or do they need to apply for B2 based on my H1 approval?

If I am applyng based on my L1 do this be a problem after October?

Thanks, with reference to your reply I can use my L1 for applying B2 for parents. But when they come in december my VISA status will be H1. Will this affect their B2 VISA or their stay in US? Do I need to update anything for their B2 VISA?
