This time we mentioned family ties and property information in consulate letter

and we also attached my MIL's affidavit to consulate letter...


and here we contacted Congress women

she sent (by e-mail) a letter to American Consulate general (Don't know what she sent )

Just now i got a call from congress women office
and they told they received the response from chennai consulate saying that visa granted..


To find out u r local congress men/women

visit www.house.gov/

and enter u r zip code

To findout u r senator

visit
www.senate.gov/

If they don't give the letter also u need not worry about that..

these letters are extra..not necessary..

how long it took to get the letter

My dad is going for visa 6th time. Could you tell did you get the letter from congressmen or Senator? How long it took to get letter? Consulate lettr is the one parents are requesting for visa or anything different?

hi,
my MIL had appointment on 14th and i went to congressman office on 7th and submitted the request letter and they sent the letter directly to American consulate general chenai, on 9th..

American consulate general replied to comgressman letter on 16th..the message was visa granted for xxx .

I tried for senator letter also..I didn't get..

I don't have MIL affidavit, my FIL prepared..
basically affidavit will be on bond paper signed by lawyer...

I don't know exactly whether Affadavit letter from lawyer signed required or not.

But all of my friends did this..

I think it is good idea to submit affidavit with notarized
