I have recently been refused a visa because I showed insufficient ties to my home here in the UK. I could have prepared evidence of ties if I had known this would have been the nature of my interview but I thought all they would need to see would be bank statements showing I could support myself whilst I was there. In retrospect my application probably looked wishy washy and vague and I was nervous in the interview (waiting for 4 hours and missing my train back did not help) so it did not go well. I have entered the US in October 08,Dec08(just for a day to get the plane), Jan08 and March08 after travelling around the west coast and Mexico. I previously entered in March with my boyfriend at the time, who was American and left in June. Id like to return with 2 friends in September, and the Consoler told me I could have just travelled on the visa waiver scheme again, but I was applying just in case I had the opportunity to stay for Christmas....never having spent one outside of England before...
My friends want to book tickets asap but I don't want to get left stranded and interrogated at the airport! If I go with a return ticket, proof of my college course which starts in Jan and a letter from my employer stating I have informed them of my plans and am expected back will this be enough? Could my parents write anything to help?
Please please please help with your advice / experience.......Thanks so much...
