Is B2 the right visa for this?

My fiancee from Japan is planning on coming over to America in January. We'll be getting married in February and would like to stay here for about 6-7 months in order to prepare to move back to Japan. After that, we would be returning to Japan for at least 3-4 years. Is B2 the right visa to apply for? Would it be a red flag if we got a B2 visa and then got married while here? We don't want to apply for a fiancee visa because I heard that it made things harder later on if she comes on a fiancee visa and then we don't stay in the states.

Yes. She is not eligible for B2 visa to come to the US to get married. Alternatively, you can goto Japan to get married.

We've already done a lot of wedding planning and booked places. The main reason we're hoping to get married here is because my family is here, and she has many friends here (She went to college here). Is our only option then to have her come on the Visa Waiver Program, get married within the 3 months and then return to Japan together?

Or, are there other, non B-2, options that we could take? Our wedding is still 4.5 months out, so there should be some time to apply for different things? The ideal would be for her to come in January and stay until about July, at which point we would both leave for Japan together. Can anyone think of any way that we could do this? Perhaps having my company sponsor her as an employee in Japan or something? I work for a non-profit organization, and she used to be on staff with the same organization several years ago.
